I heated them up with my wife's hairdrier then gave them a clean with washing up liquid. They came up quite well in the end

You mean you'd mount them the other way round?

I always used to run them this way bitd, rib on the outside

Just received my new 2.2 wheels for my graphite car and had a look through others tyre choices, which seem to be pro-lines or jconcepts is there much difference between the two.

I'm looking for ribbed on the front and a spike on the rears.

rc10b3 tyre size

hi I am awaiting my first rc10, its a rc10b3 which needs new tyres, would these be the standard 2.2 size? I appreciate that the offset of the newer wheels is different but am unsure about the actual rubber.

Yep, should be 2.2 . These rims

are a direct replacement. Just slightly narrower than a B4 rim, so you get a rounder tire profile.

My re-re Optima tyres have now de-fumed lol and the spikes are down to nubs.

I like the look of the rims but would like a different tyre. What options are there in 43 mm / 1.7

I was considering the re-re RC10 classic, but not sure...

OK guys, I just won this set of 5 sets of new tyres, listed as various, some I reckon I recognise, but will know better once they turn up, meantime any ids are welcome, I know how you like new vintage rubber so... :lol:

Has anyone ever used acetone to remove tyres from old school HPI 5 spoke wheels? Want to take some worn tyres off but not if if it trashes the wheels.

bearrickster, I went ahead and tried acetone on the wheels and can confirm that Vintage HPI 5 spokes are acetone proof, if anyone else needs to know :-)
