Ultima pro body - other than stock ??

Post by clhuke64 »

Has anyone use a body for their Kyosho Ultima pro - other than stock ?? I was just wondering if someone has a few ideas or has used another cool body for their Ultima Pro. I was trying to get a look something like the picture.
Thanks for the help.

desert gator, sand viper and some shumacher (forgot what was the name)

click my signature and you'll see some pics

(some of my projects use the turbo ultima chassis but the bodies would work on the narmal wheel base ultima pro too)

The astute body is a favorite for me too and with repops available it sure is worth a try

I'm trying to decide between the optima mid custom special, or the optima pro for mine. You can find those repops on ebay. LMK what you think... cause right now I just cannot seem to commit to one

I think the Optima pro looks kind of true to the original ultima, but just enough different to not be a lemming. On the other hand, the custom special is way out in outer space, but looks really cool/futuristic...

As a continuation to this thread, are there any modern bodies for a runner (Pro XL) that come pre-painted? Something Traxxas or Duratrax most likely. Thanks for the replies.

Can anyone help me out? Will an Optima Pro body cover the rear side edges of the Ultima Pro chassis? Getting ready to order, and don't want to be disappointed. If this is a no go, I'm ordering the Optima Mid Custom Special, I know that'll cover it!

Thanks!

I used an Kyosho Outrage body for my Pro XL. It fits perfect.

Would the good ol' RC10 one work? See here:

It may be short and skinny for a PRO-XL? But, it is so affordable for a runner, I was hoping.

P.S. The Sand Viper body looks nice!

That Is a "GREAT" Idea - only one problem - then my Ultima Pro will look like my RC-10 !!! But you have just given me something to think about, I just ordered a viper body for my second RC-10, it will be in next Thursday.
