yep! i hear he is the drift king, that's his vintage prince skyline gtr in the carpark, he only bring's it out when there is some decent competition

The work that went into building that track is incredable. everything to scale.

yeah, the drift track is right next door to the rally track. I'v been watching what they are doing a couple of times. but I can't understand why they don't want to run straight

I agree, drifting is an oddity, I just don't get the fascination with it. In my day, getting all the horsepower to hook up to the road was the challenge, not spinning all over the place at low speed. 
It reminds me of this time back in the 80's when we took our RC cars to the outdoor ice rink and drove around, spinning and donutting everywhere...it was fun for about one battery charge.

The challenge is to not "spin and donut" - but to drive the car properly in a controlled drift. Any of the top off road drivers (and most on-road) will tell you that the ability to drift a car can sometimes be significantly quicker than a "tight line".
Same can be said for sull sized motorcycle riders - alot of the previous and current World 500cc champions have a background in supercross/offroad etc - why? because they learn true bike control by drifting and moving the bike around. Same with circuit drivers etc - most will have some "dirt" (or low traction class) experience - because that is where skills are learned.
Fantastic looking scale track, and some nice controlled driving going in on that video.

I still practice by drifting with a Mini-Z in my garage, and actually have a set of drift wheels and tyres ready to fit to my Durango DEX410 race buggy when I feel the need to "freshen up" my driving. I also have a dedicated drift car too, cause it keeps the reflexes tight and helps keep the "feeling" for cornerspeed and control.
