Freshly painted. This is my first official JRX2, I owned a XX and a XXX and helped my brother wrench on a JRX back in the day. But this one is MINE all mine.

Cool.
Interesting paint job -- it doesn't look derivative, but it doesn't look like you are "trying too hard" to make it unique, which is great.
I like to see paint schemes that I would never think of in 1000 years, and the black-blue-gold is a blindspot, so that's cool.
Give us a quick run down of the important non-stock JRX2 parts so we don't have to go hunting in the forums ...
Also ... is that a Bluegroove body or one of MrLexan's?

Its a bluegroove body. There is a wavy spot in the back end and the wing is so thin I'll probably have to replace it.
Thanks for the compliments. I didnt want to do another box art car. Ive seen too many of those. I wanted it to look retro and I really liked how the cars have the big wide stripe down the middle so I started with that, and from then on, the tape told me where to go. Just followed the lines of the car and once It looked good I started laying on the color. I was going to do the front half red or white with red stripes. But after thinking on it for a while I snapped a photo on my phone and my table top made the whole car look black, with my blue pin striping tape in place it looked awesome. So I painted the front black to match the rest of the car and peeled up my blue tape and shot the metallic blue. After taking a few pictures I wish I would have connected the gold stripe in the nose and made it follow arround. Might be a great place for a sticker.
The car is basically stock, got a great deal on a buy it now. Had to rewire the speed conrol with Novak wire (shhhh dont tell Bob) new body, wing and gear cover. Other than that its as it was when I bought it.

That really is a killer layout, I like the pattern towards the rear as well

The replacement ESC wire looks great. Is it 12 or 14 gauge?
So it is essentially stock with the exception of the RPM (or Andy's?) front arms?
Great looking car.

14 gauge, the stock wire is 16 but I couldnt find any 16 gauge wire that was the same diameter it was smaller. What I needed was some 15 guage wire.

So I went with 14 and had to cut a few strands to make it fit into the cirucuit board. And yes I forgot about the andys arms. The tires are period correct but I would like to find a set of kit tires.

I really like this paint scheme.... in fact the whole car looks very nice!
As said above, that black/blue/gold colour combination is very different... Its kinda reminds me of some of the colour schemes used on vintage drag cars.
