Hi everybody,

Again a 4wd to present to you, a COYOTE SG 4wd.
Like it's a special car , I love , I make a preparation to run without troubles.
The transmission is a major problem , the original spur diff are too bad and like mine are dead, I used the spur diff from the B44 with the small pinion.
with many work, pass the spur on the lathe .
Big luke the 4 screws on the spur are on a tooth
The 4 screws are sand.
Drill the shaft , to put the axle for the pinion.





I keep the plastic ring , on the lathe I drill holes for 2 flanged ball bearing 5x10x2.5 mm.



The shocks , the original are , 1 O ring .
I made new piston with 2 small holes.
The shafts are new but look like the grand canyon,I used the shock shaft from GPX4 HOBAO or 1/10 on road, On the lathe I drill the cartbridge to put 2 O rings with a washer and glue a small lexan ring.
The caps pass on the lathe too.
I siliconed the caps on the body and put a thin O ring on the cartbridge.
Result , really good shock





I made too a new shock tower, because the original in plastic are crack and push the shock too far and twist the arm and in the same time reinforce the body post.





I put washers under balls arms to give more caster for the front and antisquat for the rear.

Really makes me feel bad aboutr the car I have to restore - have a tonne of parts - really need to pull my finger out!

Nice.... That car brings back memory's. Me and my friend had a 2wd and 4wd Coyote that we knew nothing about.... long story short we proceeded to strap gasoline motors to them basically destroying them... Now i wish i still had them now looking back lol

I never really looked at these cars until now and I have to say that it is a cool ( and fragile ) looking design!! What is the deal with the battery placement?

That is cool! I love the look of the shocks, mounted so low profile that they are actually mounted at the same level as the upper control arm!
This is the car that has a unique saddle pack config, right? 3 cells mounted inline on either side of the chassis.

I like the Coyote very much. Not because of its perforance but simply its style.

All that extra work looks good , nice little improvements.

The front shock tower like the rear, I must cut the front body mount, if no I have the same trouble than on the rear.

I used a plastic ring from wheel, to replace the ring spring presure, I broke the original...

I make in this post a small comment on the Arms ball running...

very special build there pierre as usual sg were much more prominent in 1/8th weren't they!

On the manual , they says to use a radio pliers to have the right movements, but when you do that the plastic breaking.
Without built of the ball from the arm, use a long screw with a bolt and put it on power drill, and drill with short run until you have a soft movement, it's long but it's the best way to save your arms.

Carefully with the ball on the shock support, the hole is short and the part is thin...the plastic is very fragile.
Same thinks on the lower shock cup, the hole is short and I filled them for a good alignment...

I find that car's design very intriguing. It's like they did everything different just for the sake of being different. Did the sum of all those oddball design elements result in good performance?

Hi, for now , I glued the TMS tires on the black died wheels, I made a bumper with look like Kydex from Electronic box,
more strong than the original lexan bumper...
