Anyone have a clue where the roof rack parts came from?

That is a sweet roof rack. I may try to make one from scratch first. If that does not work out Ill look at getting that rack.
I spent today taping up all the wiring to tame the octopus I had going on. Ran it for fun and it is pleanty fast. I am on restoring the steering to stock.
Waiting on the body and body mounting kit.

I really like the wheels on your rc10 beetle, looks like a scale class 11 stock baja racer.
Heres my RC10SS, might help with some of your ideas.

Agree with that - I had seen your orange bug on the Tamiya Club page and couldn't find it again - really sweet really like those wheels & the proportions are perfect!

Rizzo where did you get that front bumper. I love that bumper! Nvwax Im probably painting my buggy up orange like yours but without the decals. then Im going to sand it in spots to make it look like the paint is getting thin and showing some white (primer) and maybe some rust along the bottom. Im still debating on if I should make one door green or light blue or all orange. The wheels and tires are proline 1.9 crawler tires. they are super sticky but not meant for high speed. When I give it full speed they get all skinny and tall

I redid the front steering linkage to stock last night (Ill post pics later) and just need to remount the servo.
Still waiting on the body....

I'm not sure if the bug bodies are lexan or ABS, so this may or may not apply to your project....
Something cool that I saw a while back, a guy painted his lexan crawler body sliver on the underside, then painted the body the colour he wanted on the out side of the shell. This way, any scratches or scrapes that happened would expose the silver 'metal' under the paint. I've always meant to do that with one of my vta racers, but never got around to it.

Dan I just bent it up out of some alloy rod, was a little tricky as it has 8 bends in the 1 peice though. Alloy rod is really cheap so it's easy to practice

Nvxwax,
What tires and wheels are on your bug. They look killer.
Dansam,
Is that a Dahm's bugsy body?
