Hey guys, I'm looking for a good steering servo for a Rc10T3. I have Dirt Hawg II's on the front. Right now I am running a Hpi SF-1 servo out of my savage x and it doesn't move them as fast and strong as I would like. Any suggestions on a servo? Thanks

from what i heard from other forums, the titanuim one is not that strong, you may want to choose from their catalog, just to be sure.

i for one have a savsc1251mg (Metal Gear), opted not to get the titanium coz they break (metal Gear is preferred) . well anything breaks if you hit it hard

try to look for some feedback, there's a lot in RCtech.

Savox makes great servos for the price, but if you want to keep it simple and cheap just go with Hitec.

Also keep in mind that your steering might be binding up. Take the servo saver off and see if the wheels turn smoothly. If something is overtightened it may hinder performance and a new servo wouldn't help. Could save you a few bucks.

I swear I don't mean this to be condescending or mean, but you may want to check this site out. It is a much larger site and you will literally get instant and good answers(mostly). 10talk is great, but we're mostly geared toward vintage and have a smaller member base so answers don't always come quickly. Some things to consider like was mentioned is your steering end points. In the old days you simply remove the servo saver and put all radio settings in the middle. Turn the car on and servo would go to its neutral position. Reinstall the servo saver.

On some of these newer radios, you can adjust end points and speed etc. Still good to center like I mentioned above. But if your servo is turning past the limits of the car, it puts stress on it. You can adjust that end point to not let the servo max out. Also, most radios, you can adjust how fast your servo is. I personally have run plain Jane serves in stadium trucks with no worries. So I don't know why your servo is too slow. They do make high speed, high torgue, digital, etc. But i'd check your radio, settings, and the servo.
