Ultima @ Boondal.!!!!!

Finally finished this bitsa of a Ultima for our Boondal meets.
I wanted something different to my Tamiya's so i had a Plastic Kelron Ultima in bits. A new chassis was purchased for my Turbo so that left me a ladder style chassis. Than it dawned on me i can build up another Ultima for every weekend bashing @ Boondal.
The rear gearbox took a lot of time to get right and free with no noise. The Front shock tower is a home made copy of the Turbo. The rear tower is a alloy Turbo Style. Not sure what model it was from but the Turbo has GRP towers. Rear shocks are the Kyosho Golds while the front are Duratrax. The Top deck is a JG Mfg fiberglass one. New front axles to run Tamiya wheels These were only 2 parts i needed to buy.
For power i installed a Ez run 13t brushless combo. Digital servo. Front tires are Holiday buggy. ( Work really well on the Boondal track) Rear are Losi Step pins.
After playing with the shocks, springs, oils and rear roll centers i landed on a good set up. We all were amazed how fast this was on the straight while pulling a good wheelie coming on the straight. It handled really well and was on pace to the rc10's graphites with a 9t combo. Really quite shocked.
I think we have a short video of it in action coming soon.
