Very cool. Just like the assembled but never run CE I got last Fall which will soon be making its debut as a modern runner build. It'll be run using a plastic belly pan to protect the underside, don't worry!

Hah! I don't have any updated pictures yet of the modern runner build that it's the focal point of.

Flip, be aware those lexan belly pans don't last long at all, I remember trying one long before the B2 came out (when the belly pans 1st came out) and it broke apart/wore thru in just a race or two. I found the best thing are those chassis protector sheets that stick to the underside.
The reason I stopped using the sheets AE gave us after the first try was because it was so messy getting the glue residue off the bottom of the chassis and made it more difficult to service the vehicle with access to the screws. Seemed to take forever to cut holes out for every screw on the bottom. So I just gave up trying to protect the undersides.
Jconcepts now has a clear stick-on sheet that I became interested in when I saw a guy pull it clean off the bottom of their B4 and B44 at a local race, and it left no residue! So check out the Jconcepts chassis protector sheet, looks like it holds up real good to the hard track surface too.

Hmm, good to know, I will check out the stick-on sheet as well. I was probably going to start with it on indoor carpet and see how the buggy does.

Trying to do you a favor, I checked out the JConcepts website and didn't see them. I have two sheets that they gave me, so when I get home I will get you the part number for it and post it here.
I think you will be very happy.
I used to use the lexan tray also under my 4WD buggies but normally had to change it every few races as the rear end would wear straight through.

Stick It 1 Racing has a chassis protector sheet that you can buy pre-cut. It's about $15 shipped, just have to email them.
