I was wondering if anyone knows where I can get some 17mm Hex adapters that will fit the rear axle(3/16"?) of Rc10t. It seems everything on ebay doesn't look like they will fit properly..to my untrained eye anywhays. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I think they are HPI "star" rims. And I'm not exactly sure its 17mm..but I'm fairly sure. I could be wrong since I'm at work right now and I don't have them in front of me.

I just made a pair of 12mm hex hubs to adapt the 1/4 axles to Tamiya's wheels. I use the plastic hubs from Tamiya and widen the pin sides with a 1/4 ball grinder on a had drill at slow speed. Grind till the pin sit nicely on the hubs. Thereafter, I glue these hubs on a 3mm acrylic sheet and saw them off. This will give you a offset of 8-8.5mm as most hubs are 5-5.5mm thick only. You also need to sand 1-1.5mm off a the wings of your hub carriers. It fit nicely with near to correct offset. I'm currently using the front and rear wheels of Tamiya's Desert Gator on my gold tub runner.

Ya I tried salvaging some hex adapters that were from some generic RC I found. However they wouldn't fit on the axles so I had to do a little dremmel work. It seems like it might work for a while, but I doubt it will hold forever. Thats why I was looking for some new ones.
