diff making a funny noise

Hey everyone, I have been running my 10t at my local track for a few weeks now and everything was going good until I noticed a funny clicking coming from my truck. It only makes the noise going around turns so that leads me to believe that its probably the diff. I took the trans out and everything looked ok in there. I took the diff apart and everything looked ok in there to. When you try to turn the diff by hand it makes a real bad clicking sound. I'm using one of the castle creations short course set ups in the truck.

Do the t4 diff parts fit in a 10t diff? Does the t3 diff rebuild kit work for a 10T? Does ae offer a trans case for this truck? Should I put the PRm trans in my truck? Whats my best option here?

Thanks in advance of the advice.

All of the parts that you need are available online, or your local hobby shop can order them for you. The differential thrust balls, washers and screw are Associated part number 6573, 6574. The differential drive rings are 6579. Here is a good resource for you for future questions about parts and assembly of your 10T:

The diff in my b4 did the same thing after about 10 runs. I rebuilt the diff and it felt like butter. All of the original diff parts looked brand new. After about 20 minutes the clicking came back, totally pissed me off. I thought I royally screwed up. Packed up my gear went home and let the car sit for about a week. Started messing with it and found out the clicking noise would only happen when I turned the rear wheels by hand, it was the motor cogging. I felt like such a Dork. I'm not saying this is your problem I just wanted to share my stupidity with my fellow rc buddies and hope to bring some laughs to someone. Good luck with the truck I hope you get it back on the road soon and burn up that track. :D

check your outdrives for wear notches and dogbone ends for wear spots. mine use to make clicking noises in the corners when really bad. but that was on a dogbone setup not universals or cvd's and both bones were worn on both ends even at the axle.

I took the trans apart and the diff seems really stiff and hard to turn. I replaced the balls inside and regreased and its still makes that clicking sound. My next step is gonna be to replace the drive rings. The out drives and dog bones appear to be ok.
