to cut or not to cut TQ10 chassis

OK, wanna get an opinion or 2 (or 10). I picked up a chassis from one of our good members here with the intent of cutting the kickup off for a little bit different car build.

the problem is, the chassis is what I think is a TQ10 chassis. it's rough, got some nice scratches on the bottom, as well as a wear line right at the bend, and a somewhat fractured kick up in the front. the fracture I bet could be trimmed as some have done here already to make the nose somewhat cleaner.

would you cut the nose off this chassis? I suppose the chassis it not much worth as a shelf restorer, but as a TQ10 chassis, does this make it more desirable and should I find something a little less 'unique'?

was there ever another chassis made that has the same shape as a TQ10 one?

I was planning to cut this one to save some time drilling the trans pattern and such at the rear of the chassis, but I'm thinking maybe I will just cut up a flat piece of carbon fiber or G10 'glass.

if it was a pristine chassis then i'd say find something else.

what exactly are your plans for it?

Let's see some pics of what you have for condition, and no- there wasn't any other AE chassis with that squared off corners look

the plan is to use a bulkhead from company 'T' to showcase how you can get around needing a chassis with a kick-up built-in for cheap.

the parts list so far is as follows:
front bulkhead from a rustler/bandit/etc etc.
rpm bullet arms all around
2.25 stealth trans
blue eagle/nitrohawk shocks
rc10gt rear bulkhead
custom shock towers
custom battery hold-downs probably integrating bulkhead reinforcement front to back
probably trx1 rear mounts, same as a bunch of 'T" cars

so....it saves me time for drilling holes for the trans, but I'd still need to drill some holes for the front end, etc, plus the overall cutout shape.

I'll snap some pics once I get the kids to bed....

k, here are the pics of the worst parts of the chassis...the rest is just scratched (bottom) and normal 'witness' marks where the parts bolted on fretted the finish.

We need a view of the main section. The entire plate, if you can. The Wide/narrow effect please.

my vote is to cut it...I kinda wanna see what you have been thinkin about. Have a few of those bulkheads here and don't really want to do it myself but think the idea might have some merit.
