With a 426 Hemi engine, it could bring a lot! :P

They are pretty sought-after since they were so unique. Does it have a body? Maybe around $200? I can't remember what the last ones I saw went for as it was a while ago and it wasn't something I needed to remember.

Yep - FANTOMS are seriously collectible. NIB kits used to fetch well over 750 dollars on a regular basis years ago. Havent seen a NIB example for a while, but for 250 for a new built - well I would say that is a deal.

The only thing that comes c lose to FANTOM in rarity is the AYK Quattro (there were two versions).....both have similar platforms. (not much you can do with a 1/12th scale 4wd chaing system - only so many ways it can be done!! ;) )

Cheers

I dont think the nitro ones are as desirable as the electric I would offer 150.00 at the most for the gas fantom. There is a nib nitro version on ebay it has been there for awhile now here is the listing this is a 2wheel http://cgi.ebay.com/Kyosho-1-12-Fantom-10-engine-Race-car-kit-Alfa-33SC-/220633810002?pt=Radio_Control_Vehicles&hash=item335eccc452 and here is a 4 wheel electric also on ebay for along time http://cgi.ebay.com/Kyosho-1-12-Fantom-EP-4WD-Porsche-Kremer-/320668986606?pt=Radio_Control_Vehicles&hash=item4aa95c6cee

I thought he was talking about the electric one where the chain runs along side the car. That ones still cool though.

hi
you could use OS21 vf or OS21fsr on this car .
tank is not the right one
straight epoxy front chassis come from the early version of Fantom 20 ( 2wd) , that's a little bit strange , but it's perhaps a car wich has been upgrade in 4wd

early fantom 2wd and fantom expert 2wd:

fantom 20 4wd :

it seem that fisrt 4wd appear in 1981 at Indianapolis WC.

ok thats it, im buying up all the NIB phantoms and kyosho models here, for 1/4 of what people on ebay are willing to pay...and turning a tidy profit.

I cant believe these cars are going for this price, just because people dont want to goto the source to get them.

then again, turn the tables, a good condition team car is a good $250 here, NIB...who knows
