Who makes these shock caps?

I know it is new-ish stuff, not vintage but I got a used GT today and I've never seen these shock caps before. They appear to be 2 pieces, and the mount swivels in the cap. The rest of the shock looks like standard AE threaded shocks.
Anybody know who makes 'em?
Thanks,

personally when racing b4's i ran into a problem with them where i couldnt get a consistent shock, being a off-road guy and these being used for typically on road applications, i guess i could just be screwing them up, i had to rebuild them every 2 runs or so.

Personally, i use the yokomo shock caps in all my cars and love the bleed screw on them, i get a perfect shock with ease. part for them is yys8y.

(no pic but they look like the associated shock molded caps with a screw hole in them.)

I have a part number for fasteners-express where you can replace those dumb phillips screws with a socket head machine screw, its a weird metric size machine screw, dont put a 2-56 screw in there or you will mess it up

here is a walkthrough for them

Yeah, VCS2 shock caps. They suck. The mount isn't supposed to swivel in the cap. It makes it really tough to turn the shock collars to adjust. You wind up having to use two hands on one shock. PITA.

The bladders change consistency with silicone shock oils (all of them) and they are hard to make equal. They tried to make their existing VCS shocks like Tamiyas, Xrays, Serpents or Corallys, and they aren't even close. Crappy Band-Aid on a shock that hasn't been updated in over 10 years (FTTC3).

I took all of mine off of every Associated shock I used them on and went back to the original caps. The only thing worth using out of the new upgrade kits is the new bobbin insert.

The Yokomo caps are far better to use, but aren't necessary, though I used them in all of my off road cars. A little patience and you can build pretty good RC10 shocks without them.
