Lazer ZX by Bormac

It seems like around 12 months ago I bought this car my good friend Paul (Treehugger) here on 10TALK.
While Paul did a good job of supplying me with a good start, the real work laid ahead of me. The car was stripped down and thoroughly cleaned with hot water and dishwashing liquid. I then inspected all parts for wear and found a few parts that required replacing.
I also began shopping around for some items I wanted to add to this ride.
The idea was to build a ZX which actualy looked and essentialy remained much like a car that would have been raced back in the 1989 IFMAR 'worlds' plus a few other things to help with reliabilty along the way.
With thanks to my good friends I managed to source all the items to build this car. Thanks goes out to Aaron who helped me with longer universal shafts all round, ball raced steering set up and some idea's for a slipper and ball diffs.
A hyper slipper assembly was sourced from ePay at a really really good price.
Out went the standard geared diffs and in went a pair of Pure10 ball diffs. These are similar to the ZXR type diffs but are a little better again.
A helpful friend over on Oople helped me out with the stunning set of C/F shock towers which are the same design the drivers were using back at the 89 worlds. (You can never have too many tuning options-LOL!)
The car is far from finished but I am waiting on a replacement chassis plate as the one I have here has substantial damage to the front.
I will keep you posted on this build as I continue.
