My "new" RC10..Help Please

Hello.
I'm Andrea, and i live in Italy.
Sorry for my bad english.
Yesterday my neighbor give me an old RC10 with blue chassis.
In this forum there are a lot of fantastic RC10...!!
I want to use this car for a little bashing in my home garden and in the street near my home.
For the track I have a B4 and an Hyper 10TT.

I think to use a Novak 6.5L with a XErun 120A.

Then i post some pictures.

Is possible to mount the B4.1 gear diff on this RC10?

Can you tell me some shop where buy parts and optional for my rc10?

I run ten minutes ago with the RC10.

I try to do some wheelie, but is impossible.
I tighten the diff and the slipper but the front tires are always on the road.

Can you help me?

Ciao Andrea and welcome to the forum :)

Keep in mind the US is still asleep at this time ;)

if you can't pop wheelies with a 6.5BL in a 2wd car then it can come from many places
- power source (battery too weak)
- motor / speedo setup
- slipping diff
- too loose a slipper
- slippery tires, or tires turning on their rims if not glued

Good luck - and keep in mind doing wheelies on tarmac with a 25 y.o. Rc10 is a bit of an heresy ;)

ciao
Paul

Exactly Paul, the RC10 is meant and built to keep all wheels on the ground at any time, I would buy a Wild Willy if you like wheelying! But if you really want an RC10 to make wheelies, lock the diff, and use a Lipo battery without adding weight to the front. You could also try to move your battery as backwards as possible...

The B4 diff is larger than the Stealth one, so that will not work. You can actually mount the B4 transmission, but you would need a custom rear bulkhead, and quite a lot of modifications to do that. I would simply go either for a Stealth or RPM transmission, they're as good as the B4 one (though with different ratios) and they are vintage!

Welcome to the board.

I have a 10.5 BL motor in my RC-10 with a 7.4 40c Lipo and it will flip over backwards if you are not careful with the throttle.

You could install the b4.1 transmission with some work, but I would recommend using the 2.25 stealth with a B4 slipper.

You can see what I needed to do to fit a B3 transmission in the following thread.

Thanks for the reply.
I actually have the stealt trasmission on my rc10.

Now i try to change the tire, because i used the schumacher pin yellow without insert that maybe are too hard for the street.

How can i mount the b4 slipper?

You need the B4 main shaft and a complete B4 slipper unit, fully compatible with the old Stealth, no modification needed.

I find all the parts to mount the B4 slipper.
But this afternoon I change the post. tires and used a 8.5T motor so the car go better.

Where I can found a wheelie bar for the rc10 or a wheelie bar that i can mount on my car but not for rc10? because i'm not able to build a great wheelie bar myself.

The point obviously didn't come across

Andrea - I'll try one last time.

Trying to do wheelies in the street with a gold tub is just WRONG... Probably why there is no aftermarket wheelie bar that I know of available for the gold tub. If you want to pop wheelies in your driveway, then go get yourself some traxxas vxl plasticky piece of RTR... Or a Wild Willy II, or a lunchbox... but NOT an RC10.

;)

I just posted a method to install a B4 transmission in a gold pan. See link below:
