New parts in bag, what to do?

Hi all,

I won a boat load of RC10 bits on Ebay.
The pictures were rubish, so bit of a gamble, but it's always good to have spares!!

Thing is, it turns out that 80% of the bits are brand new, most in the packets.
From rpm wishbones (3 sets!), a bagged manual speed controller, wheels, bagged wing and mount, brand new shell, etc
Even the graphite chassis has had front and rear mounts put on but never used, not one mark or scratch on it, even the screws are perfect!

Question is, what would you do with all of this?
Is it too good to use?
Should I keep the parts in the bags and save them?

On one hand I'm over the moon at this as a find, on the other hand I'm gutted as I wanted a load of spares.....

Can't make my mind up!!!

New in pack or new in box it's all the same to me, just parts, build stuff

Might do, could build a Shelf Queen, as I'd hate to ruin these parts.

Then again...............

Get a good storage system and keep at least one of each or more of each of the parts that seem to break more often than not. I got back into RC cars just 3 or 4 years ago after taking 15 years off  and now I have 10 more builds than I had intended on  The first year or some I gave away hard to find parts that I wasn't using to other people and now regret it, a little bit, so you might want to organize and store the parts you don't think you will use.

Yeah my "idea" was to get the old RC10 MMS going again.
Scince then, I have a goldpan in bits, a blackpan in bits, now a graphite in bits......DOOH

I would just use the parts to complete the build. You will have a nice graphit RC10 when finished.

I personally don't believe in shelf queens. I believe that cars are meant to be driven and if one breaks that just means I'll have to hunt down a replacement part. I may display them on a shelf between runs though. I've bought many old sealed parts lately so I could fix some cars up. I opened the package, used the parts, and threw the packages away.

It looks like one of DW911's none slotted Strates chassis except it's drilled for stealth.

I'd say build it.I don't see anything there that's not on ebay regularly. In the past I've had cars I was on the fence about running.9 times out of 10 i wind up running them,I just run them somewhat "cautiously".

If anything, you might want to put aside the alloy jelly beans and save those for display.
