The end of my Mamba

So after trading a flurry yellow DS with no thumbs, and having allot of bashing fun with it .
I decided to go to the castle site and download the updated soft ware MMM , my first mistake LOL i must have pushed the wrong button ,as now all i have is a big green BEC for the steering servo with ironically" make em cry" stamped on it
i have spent a few hours trying to undo what ever i did wrong but not motor action .
I figure it maybe time to get another ESC .And as my new pink truck will be raced at Tacoma indoor am considering the sidewinder .
The mamba pro seems a bit to much power for my 10 T and the sidewinder seems a little less than the Max which was as thumbs said was just crazy power .
Anyone had any issues with the sidewinder good or bad , and any comments on suitability for a indoor of of road course .
Im up for any ideas LRP trinity i have around a $150 for the esc as i still have the mamba motor
Also is it worth getting the old max fixed ??

Have you smelled the Max? If there is no burnt smell then it probably just needs to be re-programmed manually or thru the software. Castle has killer support. If you email them with details they will quickly give you helpful info. I'd guess about $50-60 if you ship it back to them, which is still worth it in my opinion. Hope you get it runnin' again.

As for the Sidewinder, it's a beast too. I actually prefer it because it's a bit milder, but not too much so. It only takes 2s, but that's typically what will be ran in 10th scale anyway. I think a Novak, Tekin or LRP would be more suitable if you plan on racing where stringent rules are used. They're a little more rule friendly in most cases.

If it somehow makes you feel better, the DS is still minty and un-run... Good Luck Paul :D

I did that once to my mamba max (before going to the pro), i updated the firmware on the PC, but not the speedo, changed some settings and it stopped working.

Trying hooking it back up to the pc and pushing a firmware update to the speedo, then reset all your settings and hook it back up.
