Its been a while since I added a decent post because the last couple of weeks, I have been selling off lots of things to make space as I am in such a small place now. Unfortunately this popped up on my ebay radar and I couldn't resist it.

:D I really love this car and what the previous owners have done to modify them.

A lot of the pieces on this car have been milled by the previous owner out of aluminium!!! :D It has alloy, front lower arms, chain guard and brace, roll cage, rear trailing arm mounts and wheel covers. Not to mention a whole load more spares!

Anyway, it'll be a long time before it gets here I think as it may have to go to mrlexan first because the seller (who seems a top bloke) won't ship outside the US

This is gonna look awesome when I have cleaned it up 8)

Cheers

And you think I am going to send it to you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I don't know what happened to the box Ed, I swear!

You got that for a steal. I was going to bid, but saw that you did and did not....... I thought you were thinning stuff out anyway?

...and I thought you were too? Just kidding!

I am thinning things out for sure but I am keeping a couple of projects... 8)

Yeah but I am a sucker for pieces of nice individual engineering and this is my favourite car too. I couldn't help myself. Thanks for not bidding, my reserve was embarrasingly high

By the time this comes I should have sorted out my living situation though so hopefully it won't have been a rash purchase. I just need to find a Dog Fighter which has an alloy chassis, front hubs, front bulkhead and tranny and I'll have the whole of the car in aluminium :D

Well thanks to mrlexan I now have another amazing Dog Fighter with homemade alloy parts in my collection.

Cheers Jay I appreciate the help!!!! 8) :D

I really love how Dog Fighter owners seemed to have there own machine tools and made there own parts. The machining on this car is really good and has some really nice touches.

The home made alloy parts:-

Front lower a-arms
Dual shock mount
Upper spine plate
Chain tensioner
Roll bar
Upper shock mounts
Front and rear body mounts
Lower shock mounts/swing arm brace
Rear sway bar/swing arm retainer
Rear bulkhead
Wheel covers

I have borrowed my friends camera and will take pictures of it tonight.

I would also like your opinions on what the right way to restore it would be?

I would like to keep this model faithfull to how it was raced and after cleaning it, was wondering where I should stop...I mean I have to change the front shock setup to duals, then I might change the rears from Kyosho to RPS, then maybe some new hop-ups...then hasn't it become another car, or have I made it my own?

What's your thoughts?

Cheers

Ed

Cool deal. I was going to PM you to see if you had received it yet. Did you see that one that closed on ebay last night? $220ish I think. You got a SMOKIN deal Ed, good for you!

Yeah I am very happy that I got a good deal on this car. I have been in the running for a new built though that went for $480 or something. The prices on these seem very erratic.

I think it all comes down to originality of the car. This is really bespoke and not like the box art so if your not into that your not into this! Lol!

I like period racers though so its right up my street!
