Sassy chassis with a new A&L swing arm kit. The A&L steering is used but in good shape . Have two new A&L steering kits but saving them for other projects. I have a stealth trans on hand but still undecided if I want to drill the chassis for it. So for now the trackmaster is mounted. Still waiting on parts to complete.

A dirt oval trans in a buggy. Don't plan on running it .Just a project for now.

Looking good so far. Though I have a question. Would that Track Master trans fit in a stock tub or would the motor come into contact with the motor guard?

No they hit the rear guard. In the manual for the trans it shows one mounted with rear guard cut off and anther pic shows it with the rear guard in place . They must bent the rear guard bown on that one. Maybee that why you don't see any on a tub chassis. Trackmaster also made a direct drive trans witch is shorter in length and will bolt in to a tub chassis with no mods if my memory is correct.

I'm glad I found this out before buying one! I've been in the market for a new one for a long time now and assumed they were a direct fit with no mods. I was surprised to see from your pictures just how long they actually are.

With that being said, it looks my new focus is getting one of the direct drive ones then. Its for a DS so it works out. If I remember right the Track Master one is called the Xcaliber.

Looking great! I have the same idea going with a TrackMaster beltdrive and a Sassy chassis sans the A&L kit.

I used to have the Trackmaster RC10 direct drive. I currently have a JCAR JRX2 direct drive. In my opinion the JCAR is the superior unit. If I were looking for another for the RC10 that's the one I'd get. This assumes it would be for a runner and not a shelf queen.

Still waiting for parts from tower to continue. I have a question tackmaster lists a option part #7135 as a shock tower brace. Does any have a pic of it ? I think finding that part is going be like finding goodyears for a edinger.

do you happen to know what it looks like? Might be able to fab something up from aluminum.

No I don't have a clue what they look like. But plan B is in the works using some 1.25 x .1875 aluminum bar stock . Not much a drafting but I have drawn out the shape that I want.

they are a nice chassis to look at, keen to see your build come along what wheels are you thinking, alloy's?

wow, that brings back some memories. I was working in and racing for a shop when the guy who made those came in to show me one, seems like we sold a few in the shop but I never ran one. One thing about the A+L steering is the color is unusual so for cosmetic purposes it can be dyed black.
