So imagine it's 1984, your 17 and you just got your RC10 and kicking butt at the local track- but, how did you get from your house to the track in style.........................................

1984 Toyota SUPRA, P-Type needs a bit of TLC and a front main seal but, I have spent more on an RC10 than I did this and now we are going to go vintage racing in a vintage car!

I was just talking to my friend recently who owns a production year 83' Celica/Supra with a 2JZ natural aspiration. I do enjoy looking at this car.

First time I went over 100 mph in a car was in my sister's friend's '84 Supra(light blue or silver, can't remember). Kick-Ass.

Sweet! I always liked those mid-80s Supras. The Audi Quattros from that ear too.

A friend had a 81 or 82 Supra and every time I played Roadblasters at the arcade I thought of that car. One of the more 'well-to-do' kids at school got the 1987 Turbo our senior year... quite a car in it's day.
Have fun with that one!

I always wanted one of those, just wicked looking IMO. Along the same lines I also like the Starion and Conquest from Mitsubishi. Those cars looked like hot rods right out of the box.

Nice one Reg. As funny as it sounds, we used to have a Celica (same model and colour) back in the 80's. It was at the same time when I bought my first real R/C - Kyosho OPTIMA.
Yep this car screams
80's.
Years later I bought a midnight blue JA Mitsubishi Starion Turbo. It kinda reminded me of the Delorean from
BACK TO THE FUTURE.

Nice buy Reg. One of my all time favorites! I can't see any rust in the pic, looks very clean!
Vintage Toyo's rule!

Nice project. Did I hear it was an early Edinger version

?

Just brought it home, surface rust in 4-5 places but purely cosmetic- it is an Edinger for sure!!
lots of little things, the interior is great minus the drivers seat which is shot- tranny is tight, brakes are solid, tires are new- so............just need to find some time to pull the oil pump and replace the seal- then (maybe) this winter put it inside and freshen the motor

maybe not the way this year is going

Oh, and anyone want to buy an 80' Jeep wagoneer!!

My Bashing Buddy just scrapped his Supra. Our Canadian winters and road salt were kinda hard on the old girl. The only thing that stopped stuff from falling thru the floor was the carpet, lol.
We used it for an ice racer for the last two winters but when the driver's seat fell thru the floor, we figured it was time to let her go.
