Time to start a thread for us genx'rs. If music is not on around my house or vehicle of choice, then I'm probably asleep. Chime in with what your currently listening to. Myself, I'm kinda addicted to concerts on DVD and BluRay. I have about 250 different titles for concerts alone. Mostly jam bands, early 70's(forgotten rock), and so much more. The CD collection has turned over 500 some time ago. I'm not much into the whole downloading music much due to the lack of quality vs CD, but it is handy in a pinch. Guess I'll always be keeping my dinosaur CD's, LP's, and 8-tracks!

I've been getting into some of the early 90's rock that I kinda forgot about. For some reason, Kings X has come to the top of the foam lately...

^^Cool stuff!

Always in the quest for something new and great to listen to, I finally really discovered Rory Gallagher. I've heard him here and there, but never really gave a serious look. This is just one example of many of the forgotten early 70's guys. This came out on DVD earlier in the year. Originally '71. I love the entire set, but check out the tune about 35:40. Give it a good listen.

I saw Soundgarden two weeks ago. I had been waiting since my lost opportunity in 96 to see them. They were friggen incredible. Now I can't stop listening to them. It was well worth the wait. The band sounded incredible and Chris' voice is as strong as ever. Here's some recent footage:

I'm going to see the Meat Puppets soon, but the next show that I'm really, really, really looking forward to is Portishead. Been wanting to see them for years now. Beth Gibbons is way hot and I think she's got one of the best voices around.

Always like Cornells voice. How is the music seen in NY these days?

Here's some vintage Meat Puppets(bass & acoustic players) with Nirvana. Great guitar work!

I saw them in 96 at lollapolza, good time- but since Cornell started doing vocals in that other band I think I will just remember them from 96'
