RC10L Nissan 92 GTP Build (Updated 07-20-11)

Im starting a new build, I say starting because i have not sourced a bunch of parts for it lol. I have the Body, Sees BBS wheels, foam donuts and a few new front end parts...
First off i have a question that will effect the parts i need to acquire. I got an original Nissan 92 GTP body from Al (Thanks), I first thought it was for the 200mm cars (RC10LSO, RC10LSS...), But looking at it compared to my Nissan ZX-GTP 235mm body (Also From AL

It looks like it would fit the 235mm car better?
Did they make the 92 GTP for both width cars (200mm & 235mm)? I have attached some pics for comparison with my ZX body.
I need to source most of the chassis for the build and dont want to get the wrong size car lol.
Mind the atrocity RC10LSLSOL (LOL) in some of the pics, Got it off eBay for parts but did not notice how much of a piece of crap it was lol, Looks like a SS front and chassis with a 235mm rear pod attached lol, The narrow front looks to narrow for the body? I dont have a SS rear to see how wide it looks under the 92 GTP body.
Sitting on my New built RC10L (235mm)
Sitting on a chassis with a Narrow front RC10LSO

they made a narrow and wide jag body. so, i'd think they could've made that one both ways, too. i'd have to go look through some of my associated literature to be sure.

I checked again and the body number was #6128 1992 Nissan GTP, the dimensions were Fr: 215mm, 8.5" Rear: 235mm, 9.25" somewhere else I found reference that it was for the 10LS and others narrow chassis but I'll look and see if I can find it again.
The original body was #6171 Nissan GTP, the dimensions were Fr: 230mm, 9" Rear: 235mm, 9.25"

They made a Jaguar XJR9 which was #6168 Jaguar XJR9 GTP, dimensions were Fr: 235mm, 9.25" Rear: 235mm, 9.25"
and a Jaguar XJR10 wich was #6125 Jaguar XJR16, dimensions were 215mm, 8.5" Rear: 235mm, 9.25".
There Nissan bodies represent those same differences in dimensions at least according to the archived Associated site.

edited to correct XJR10 dimensions.

10LSO is suppose to have the Dynamic Strut front end but not sure how much that will change front track. Your example above has got the old front end on it.

I think your right, I looked into this about two years ago and my memory is not what it used to be.
Updated
RC10L = 235
RC10LS = 235 (Same as the 10L with Dynamic Strut front)
RC10LSS = 200
RC10LSO = 200 (Dynamic Strut front)

nvxwax, the clear body you have is 235mm. Lots of 235 mm bodies are narrower at the front than at the rear, so you should always measure the width at the rear. Asso's Nissan ZX-GTP with wide front is more an exception than the rule from what I've seen.

Seems rooster has great taste in livery for on road bodies!!!! Me likes. What Porsche body is pictured? What numbers did you use for the Nissan?

The NEW MAN Porsche body is an Andy's body shell P/N 3152. However, I don't really know if it is actually a Porsche body shell, I just really like that paint scheme from back in the day.
I have zero talent as far as paint, I owe this talent to Mr. Bob Bertotti from
http://www.thercbodyshop.com, I have had several body shells painted by him this year. You see I like the scale look as far as paint work and I highly recommend these guys.

Can't remember for sure, but I think you are right. I don't think that's the Andy's porsche body. I have one of those and just can't remember the name of it. Nonetheless, it's close enough and nicely done.

@ rooster, I remembered the name. I am pretty certain that is the Andy's Lotec.

Finally able to mount this body shell, I think it presents well.
I think I'm going to look out for some white BBS style wheels.
