12mm hex wheels on the front?

Has anybody run 12mm hex wheels on the front of their car? Rears are no problem, I've got HPI adapters for both size axles. I need to keep the front tires under the body, so I'd like to keep it as close to stock width as possible.

Thanks for the link. I'm trying to avoid modifying to wheels, so I got some Traxxas Rustler front parts. Everything fits, but I have to modify both the arm and caster block to get full travel (just grinding the caster block removes too much material and it flexes too much now). I'll keep playing with things, see what I can come up with.

look at ultima RB5 front casters/axle set up, might be easier to put on than the traxxas stuff.

Cool, looks like that setup could work. $5.49 for the whole setup too. Thanks :)

Did some more fiddling with different parts I had on hand. It looks like it will be easier to use some wider offset caster blocks and just move the front bulkheads closer together. I'll probably put the mounts on a flat plate, then bolt that to an RC10T nose plate.

The sc10rs has hexes on the front. Easy enough to convert to old style rc10. Same mounting as b4.

AE is releasing a 12mm kit for the B4/B4.1, wheels and all. Also updates the rear end so you can use TLR22 wheels.

Cool, thanks for the info. I want to standardize all my wheels and tires, so I'll give those Associated parts a try on them in the future.

I did some fitting with various cars in my garage, and it turns out the Traxxas steering knuckles fit well inside the SC10 caster blocks. You have to grind on the little gussets on the inside to clear the knuckles, but with anything less than big truck tires and a fast brushless motor it should be fine.

I'd rather keep it all Associated, but it's nice to know there are other parts that will work if those aren't available; every hobby shop in the country should have the Traxxas stuff on hand, as well as most Pep Boys stores. I like that you can use a larger 5x11mm bearing too.
