RC10 GRAPHITE CHASSIS RESTO

I just restored a six gear RC10 Graphite,it turned out nice, but there's a few scuffs on the underside of the chassis I'd like to get rid of.
I heard about someone using some sort of epoxy to coat the bottom and it looked new-anyone know anything about that method?

The shocks are a pale colour, compared to the shocks on my other RC10's,was this normal for 1st gen Graphites?
The rear bodies could do with replacing.

Couldn't resist slipping an MIP SP-1 tranny in

Here she is...

I was going to use some 30 minute crystal clear epoxy on the bottom of a cleaned chassis, lay the epoxy on some polyethyene sheet(like a freezer bag) on a thick sheet of glass or mirror and put a bunch of weight on it. Haven't gotten to it yet.

another option is to use automotive clear coat.

Not really a repair method I guess, but try a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser sponge and then a lint free rag with a touch of WD40. It'll shine like a diamond in a goat's a$$!

I sprayed mine with clear matte Krylon top and bottom. It doesn't look new but it served to even out the surface quite nicely. It also helped diguise the repair I made on the front lip.

Hey Scampi!

This thing is way too nice to paint,I heard about coating the bottom with some kind of epoxy, but I can't remember the details.
I polished the hell out of it with carnuba wax and it looks pretty damn nice, apart from *one* scratch on the bottom.

It wasn't super cheap, but it was a good deal.
I have the original Protech II body here, all the paint's stripped and it's in good nick,so I'll either use that,or a repro of a Protech II.

Just got a motor for it that I've wanted since I was twelve!

Man,I have lusted after a Twister since I was 12!
Always wanted one of their 'Carolina Mountain Motors'

Need me a graphite trans brace for this car...I still have the chassis from this abortion-an RC10 Graphite chassis-with the front kickup snapped off, nonetheless, with complete JRX2 running gear bolted on!
The running gear got recycled into my bottomless bag of JRX2 parts and that Reedy Modified was in really nice condition.
The XXX CR body somehow fitted this...Thing!

I think I'll cut a trans brace and a battery strap out of that poor, deflowered chassis and put 'em on this Graphite-at least the carbon will match, right? 8)
