My wife is starting too get a little upset over my car collection. Little does she know I'm just getting started Do any of you guys have the same problem?

Eh I don't think she likes it, but she realizes it's somewhat an escape from "xxxxxxx" y'know?
I missed wrenching on rcs when I was a kid, so I think she understands - to some point

what does it matter? i'm sure if she didn't have r/c stuff to complain about she could find something else.

my wife, she doesn't say much of anything about it. i was into r/c's way before the 2 of us ever got together. hell, our first date in 1994 was to a weekly r/c race of mine. not to mention, i worked at a hobby shop.

she knew what she was getting into right from the beginning............

Thats what I think to.. I have been into the Hobby since I was 12 years old And I am now 37 Its who I am. She use to go to P&T Hobbies & Raceway with me when she thought it was cute. Now she doesnt think is so cute. She says I need to grow up!

you have to grow old, but you don't have to grow up.

LIke I tell a guy at work "hey you married her" but really my wife tells me theres alot worse things you could be doing and spending money on. Life goes by once do what YOU enjoy.

Things that are far more worst and destroys the family . I enjoy spending time with my son as i my dad was
Not supportive of my hobby before, i have to work at a hobby shop at the age of 13 to support my hobby,now i have a son i pamper him with all of the nice stuff which i cant afford when i was a kid, so at The end my wife just let me do what i want. . I love my wife.

as stated above though. It could be worse...I used to be a professional drinker ...now I just play with expensive toys.

my wife was busting my balls last night about racing on sundays. she'd prefer i race indoors on wednesday evenings. according to her thats only an evening, not an entire weekend day. i'm frustrated. the indoor track is hot as hell in the summer, much nicer to run outdoors in the summer.

I wish I would not experience all the things you have said. Maybe I dont have many collection of car like you do, that is why my wife gave me my first EP 1/8th (RC8) buggy with servo and esc, motor combo last xmas

Tell her this:

"That sounds fair. I'll give up being home with you every night and playing with my RCs, and start cruising the web for pron, and start staying out late drinking and chasing women. RCs for sex, sounds like a grown up trade to me"


If that doesn't work, tell her you'll give up RC's as soon as she gives up scrapbooking, shoe shopping, or whatever other nonsensical "childish" pastime she uses to entertain herself, because, you know, it's time she grew up!

Well she told me today it's not the cars as much as the airplanes. I can some what understand that since I have some rather large scale planes that take up alot of room.
