What's the deal with Yokomo RIMS??

Ok, I'm just wrapping up a few projects but want to get some info on rims before I finalize these suckers. Does anyone know the sizes, offsets, and dates of the rims for Yokomo YZ10's.

It seems that the older 2.0" rims have a larger offset than the newer 2.2" rims (making the car wider when 2.0" rims are used). Was there ever any 2.2" rims with the wider offset similar to that of the 2.0" ones? If I put 2.2" rims on my older YZ10 projects that use stock or Andy's arms then the car seems very narrow so how did everyone use 2.2" stuff that wasn't running wide arm cars like the Yokomo team seemed to be since 1989?

If anyone knows the story about YZ10 rims maybe they can give as much info as possible here. As far as I know there were Really narrow and narrow 2.0" front rims and only one size of rear 2.0" rim. Then there was the standard offset 2.2" front and rear rims (I'm only talking about the two hole rims here). Are there anymore? Were there multiple offsets in both 2.0" and 2.2" rims? Any info would be awesome.

Thanks!

Jeff

For your replica, you need the TH30 rims, same 870 offset, but 2.2 or 30 series. After the works 91 they have a deeper offset for the works 93, WCS 93, 94 dogfighter and 95 WCS. After the works 93 (tail end) they added the eight reinforcing ribs. Same offset though-

Hey Reggie, are you talking about my '89 Masami Yok Worlds car? I already have the rims for that one - not sure what offset but they are pink, 2.2 inch, and look to have the same offset as in the RCCA pics. I'm actually looking for info on rims for two other Yok's I'm working on. These 2.2" rims for my Masami car have less offset than the stock rims from an 870.... are you saying that the TH30 rims have this same deep offset yet they are 2.2"?? Are these ever available or are they like the elusive pink rims?

I'm assuming that Masami used the shallow offset on his '89 YZ10 because he was using rear arms in the front and longer custom rear arms so I figured he used the shallow offset rims to keep his car within legal race width. The replica pic of the Masami car also seems to have the very shallow offset rims. Maybe these TH30 rims are the ones I want for my other Yoks - 2.2" but wide offset??

The car you have are the TH30 rims, 870 offset- 2.2" used in 89' with the TR-31 rear tires ( also used in 2wd winning car ) The WCS in your image uses the Works 91 deep offset rim 2 hole variation ( i think there was a later 4 hole variation )

wish someone would put the entire yokomo rim selection up as a sticky, always been a little confused with all the different type's. :)
