oooooh I wanna try this so bad!
http://www.sm7tog.com/kyosho/Tomahawk%20Parts%20list.html
but mine would have
- an RC 10 composite craft straight chassis
(yes your shodog: I can 't seem to stick with one idea nowadays)
- a stealth courtesy of mrlexan
- 4 medium kyosho ultimate shocks
- a rollcage body if I can piece it together
Anybody with one of those chassis ready to measure up some things please?
Or takers for all the leftovers of the nice Tomahawk I'm thinking of buying to strip of the suspension parts I need?
while you're there, this thing is pretty slick too (scroll past the first pic, it really is not representative for what follows)

Yep, you are crazy.

Kinda like putting a blown Hemi in a VW Golf or something like that. Those cars are way cool already. I had a Scorpion. They're nearly all metal, including an aluminum chassis.
Now, just doing the roll cage body on a stock Tomahawk would be wicked!

Erik, I have a couple of them, but as with most everything else, they are in storage. If I can find them, I can take some measurements.

Thats pure crazy talk.
Really, the tomahawk is pretty cool with all it's aluminum parts. I wouldn't waste a Composite craft chassis on making one.

phew,
I found another distraction: converting my TF-2 to an M-size.
This should keep me out of harms way of the tomahawk for a little while still.

Not to worry: I wouldn't put a brushless anytime.

Sorry Mr. Ed, I sold f/r shocks NIP a while back. NIP are hard to come by. Speaking of hens teeth, try finding those red plastic collars for less than $10 a piece.

MMM, you must have missunderstood my plans: I was gonna build something using the suspension parts from a Tomahawk but I never intended using the original shocks.
The car I was gonna buy for parts is in very good shape though and much more than I really need. It's also kinda pricey and really a bit of a shame to take apart... But mostly I don't really want to go through the trouble of selling out the left-over parts on e-bay.
So, it'll probably stay on the shop shelf, till I get nutty again and don't find another project to work on.
But hey; if someone has one of those circuit 1000 style buggies, with a broken gearbox, leaking or missing shocks and bended rails... I'd be happy to buy just the suspension parts I need: roughly that would be front axle and clamps, arms, and steering knuckle, rear: arms, uprights, arm mounts etc...
