B3 Slipper Conversion

I know this has probably been covered many times but I can't find the thread right now, so can the B3 slipper simply replace the RC10 slipper? I seem to remember you have to change the shaft because it needs a long B3 shaft with it. Is this what the changes are? I'm trying to help a friend and member here with the conversion but can't remember (go figure) all the details . Any help appreciated.

You can actually use the B4 topshaft and B4 slipper setup. I did this and it works perfectly.

Yep, this works but his question to me was specifically about using the B3 slipper and I don't want to tell him to toss the B3 stuff and go buy the B4 slipper unless there is a reason he can't use the parts he already has. Thanks for your input and I'll keep it in mind but still hoping someone has the simple answer as I know people have done it a few times.

yes, the b3 slipper can replace the original. uses the same topshaft, as well as the thrust bearing assembly and slipper spring.

Thanks scr8p, just want to make sure which shaft your referring too. Do you mean all B3 parts replace the RC10 Stealth slipper parts?

I have a B3 transmission and a 2:25 RC-10 stealth and can swap the slippers between the two. The top shaft is the same for the RC-10 and the RC-10 B3.

What about using a B3 slipper with a 6 gear trans? Just replaced the slipper in my T3 with the B4/T4 one and so my T3 slipper in just sitting there...
