This past weekend I was watching a king blackfoot and thought it would be interesting to convert one into a Frog.

Has anyone tried this?

Seems like it would be a neat idea. I don't see how it would handle the same.

The King Blackfoot utilizes completely different suspension, trans, shock towers etc... I think you're thinking of the Super Blackfoot as that version used similar front suspension to the original.

Lowgear is right. the King blackfoot is way different than the original. about the only thing they share are similar orv frames. A super blackfoot would be a better donor for this project. I once made a super monster beetle that came out really nice

hum.. Cant say on a frog, but on a high C.O.G. rig like the blackfoot/Monsterbeetle it a big inprovement.
my experiance is that the king handles much better. it has a wider stance witch helps with roll overs, much better rear suspention that actualy cycles & the gear box is slightly better. just my opinion
