My Team Losi XX

Gentlemen
I finally, after years, did have yesterday a little time to take pics from my old Team Losi XX car. This car was my last 2wd race car and it was raced only twice, euros 1994 in Salzburg Austria and Finnish Championship same year (same place where they held 1995 euros and 1999 worlds). The car is straight from the last A-final (from the nationals, not the euros) except gear cover that is missing somewhere.
Car is stock except following:
- Front tires were glued more wider. From front wheels inner and outer collars were removed and front tires were glued to in this area.
- From rear tires the most outer spikes were removed.
- Aluminum screws were used as much as possible. Steel screws are in use where more strength is needed.
- Graphite plastic rear shock tower, front and rear lower suspension arms.
- Rear lower arms were modified so that rear shocks could be installed more out. There are two new holes made to them. The first is 4.5mm and second 9mm more outer than the most outer stock hole is. The first hole of these new holes is used.
- Titanium turnbuckles
- Front shock tower and battery strap are "self made" from carbon fibre. Geometry in the shock tower is the same as in the stock tower, but the most outer shock mounting hole is removed. The battery strap allowed to use SP batteries easily and securely.
- Aluminum self made support around servo saver bottom part.
- Ball bearings in steering.
- 25 degree spindles.
- Light oil in hydradrive.
- Springs, shock oils and pistons, shock mounting locations etc other small setup changes were made.
And yes, I am not proud of my painting on this body. This and my Yokomo body for the euros were made in 10-minutes just before going to airport and the paint was dried secretly in my mothers microwave. I didn't even clean the airbrush between changing to lighter color (yes I did use airbrush to do this!).

Sounds like you were/are a pretty handy racer to say the least!
