My Newest DS Project

I've been thinking about doing this project for a while now, finally got around to putting it together. I don't do build threads (I don't know how you guys can stop what you're doing to take a picture and then remember later on what was going on as you upload it

). I can tell you I had to get creative with the body mounts as the Mercedes body was drilled for the normal chassis. Easily solved with a brand new body but I still wanted to use this one.
I've had a fair amount of luck finding parts for dirt cheap while buying blind lots on ebay lately, most of the hardware from Tower, and the rest I just happen to have in bags not doing anything. Hope you like

.

Nice car. I am working on a couple of DS's but nothing as modified as this, mostly restores right now. I would like to get creative with one though and throw some brushless power to it.

I would really like to find one of the DTM Mercedes bodys - anyone have a line on one of those????
I've got a couple of Mustang bodies - one that is painted but never run if I remember correctly but there's nothin' like the Mercedes....

Thanks for the comments everyone. I agree, I think the Mercedes body was the best looking one made for the DS. My favorite body is on my other DS here:

I've got on of those around somewhere. Don't forget about the Olds Aurora from Protoform. I liked it, here's the real one it was modeled after:

Nice build, never even seen that chassis before. and the trans is just crazy. I still have much to learn.
