I just got this in a trade.

It's a Le Mans Modified but seems to be different to my other Le Mans motors. It says On Road. Is re buildable. Has a Alloy end bell in blue. Brush heat sinks, The arm is a double wind but thats all i can tell.

The can is the cheaper le mans like the 240 ST .

Has anyone seen or used this motor, Specs.?

Any info .

Cheers

I LOVE the Le Mans series. How many different motors did they make? I think if I could pick one full set of brushed motors to own, Le Mans would easily be my first choice. 8) Dreaming I know...

They made quite a few.

The Le Mans motors came in a few different grades of spec's.

Full Mod. 3 piece can. The highest spec came with the alloy end bell.

Budget Mod . came with adj timing, bushings

Budget. non re-buildable, bushings

Le Mans full mod's ( roughly what wind of the top of my head LOL )

480 T 24 x1
480 S 23x1
480 Gold. ( Alloy end bell) 25 x4
240 S 19x1 ( Standard in Turbo Optima)
240 SB ( Alloy End bell) 19 x2

600 E ( Buget rebuildable) 30x1 ( standard in Turbo Scorpion in some countrys & i think in one of the Plazma's or Fantom.)

360 PT ( 550)
360 Gold ( 550 Alloy End bell)
360 ST ( budget ) 550

240 ST ( budget) (Standard in First MID)

Than The SPA Motors under the OPTION HOUSE parts banner

These were the latest in motor spec's at the time as the Le mans Motors were getting outdated by this stage. 3 or 4 yrs on. There were only 2 versions. One for sprint 4 minute races and the other longer races around 5 min or more. They were the first motors to use the new "wet" magnets . ( pressed into the can than charged from what i learnt) They claimed to hold the magnetic strength longer) A re styled 3 piece can with alloy enbell and gold brush hoods.

SPA 240 WS 18x2
SPA 480 WT 24 x4

The later Le Mans like what i asked on this motor is a little weird in specs. The cheaper 1 piece can from the 240ST with alloy end bell & gold brush hoods.

I raced with most of the Le Mans motor and Both of the Spa,s

We Raced for 6 min in Mod at my local track at the the time which really should have been 5 min. So with only 1200 mah batteries in 4wd it was hard not to dump. So i tried all motors and gearing to be on pace & not dumping.

Best motor i found was the Tamiya Technigold for overall speed & efficiency .. Got it re wound with a few less turns and was the best by far. Funny it was a plain motor but had some unreal efficiency ..
