More SRBs for the 2012 VONATS

This past VONATS in CT we had 3 SRBs, one Buggy Champ and two Sand Scorchers. While they were not the fastest cars out there, they were fun to watch and drive.
Mine had some trouble, and decided to drive itself into a number of walls due to my old Futaba Attack stick radio.
Next year I will have a 2.4g radio so it will have to listen to me, although that might not be much better.
Who else is with me? Let's make the classics class turn into an SRB class. I am sure some of the VONATS regulars would get these old cars hooked up and have them clearing doubles with ease( you know who you are).

I am with you, I broke mine or it would have been their. it will be fixed as soon as I get something to make a radio tray out of.

the only reason i don't have an srb is the price tag. i think they are grossly overpriced.
i want one, just not that bad. my brand new factory team sc10 was less. lol
i might just have to run my custom grasshopper (actually a world engines rockbuster).
it's tough for me to justify the cost on a car i'll run once a year. (i'm still racing my jrx2 on wednesday evenings in the mod buggy class, can 't do that with a srb)

That is so cool, Rock on with the Jrx2
the SRB's should be in their own class if we get enough. I bought the Gold edit. it wasnt to bad with the coupon at Tower.

I agree the price is crazy, but they are so much fun to drive.

I'll be back with my Sand Scorcher next year for sure!
I don't think they're that expensive. And comparing them to any SC10 is apples and oranges. I had the time of my life racing my Scorcher this year, I wouldn't trade it for any other car. It might not be the fastest (although mine was faster than I could control) or best handling car on the track, but if there was a test you could take to see who had the most fun this year, I bet I'd win.
Cannot wait till next year!

The SRB's are a very different kind of car. I run mine on the Beach in Va Beach and their is no better place to have one of them than on the beach. I truly love the scale looks. running one on the beach makes you want to go home and build a real dune buggy and come back to the dunes. hard to put a price on that.

I am looking at this chassis as an upgrade.

Thought about buying two, so I could get an original Super Champ ready to go next year. If that does happen, I will need a driver.

Those aluminum chassis look nice. I like the stock fiberglass though with it's flex. Since the suspension on the Scorcher isn't that great, I figure the glass will soak up some of the rough stuff a little better.
