870c/works 91, shocks question

Struggling sourcing some Rc10 team shocks to replace the standard shocks on my Yokomo. Would Kyosho Option House gold shocks be suitable?

The car currently has Schumacher Cat front shocks and original rears, perhaps I could look for some Cat rears to match the front? Opinion from you experts please :)

Thanks guys.

The RC10 shocks should be the easiest to find, especially via eBay, but any of the 3 will work. Are you looking on eBayUK only?

Thanks Charlie. I've only looked on eBay UK tbh. Would standard rc10 gold shocks be ok too? Sorry for the dumb questions :?

The gold bottom loaders were a real common thing on the Yoke buggies- the Team car (grey) shocks were more of the Werks 91' "hot" mod though

Reggie summed it up nicely.

Although, the Gold Option House dampers were also a common mod on the old 870c back in the day. I remember seeing pics of the Yokomo Team cars utilizing the 'golds' from Kyosho. A really nice finish too they almost look like jewelry

If you're replacing the black yokomos with their white plastic parts than the option house golds are a straight fit. In fact , apart from plastic parts those black ones are almostlike black clones of the kyosho gold shocks.

Thanks for the advice fellas.

Mr Ed, here's the thread I started when I purchased the car. I suppose if I could get some Cat rears, they would match the front (which seem really smooth and free of leaks)

The works cars ran different length shocks on the front which I believe are .71 the 870c is .56. The rear on both is 1.02.

Edit to add your yok has the works shock tower so you need .71 or I think you can use .89 with .71 shaft.

Thanks Seasaw. Thats good info. Gonna ask what is probably a dumb question, but is .71, .89 etc in inch units?

The figures refer to associated shock strokes
