im not feeling too hot tonight so ill just post pictures i snapped a second ago (sorry about the poor lighting as well) and say that i didnt build this work of art now in my possession, and that it was made for 1 thing and 1 thing only. concrete oval!

edit: had some coffee and some grub so im feeling a bit better...

im going to redesign a few things up front. i know, i know, why screw it up? mostly because i plan on using it and as such i want to make it work right. not going to screw with the geometry too much (longer pushrods though) mostly im going to clean up the mounting points for the shocks and rockers. going to ask around and see how i can make sense of the adjustments. never screwed with a revo on a track let alone with in depth setup.

on that note i think ill give a little history of this car. the builder (Will Hutchinson) was a hot shot oval racer here in SFL. the guy imo was a genius when it comes to rc but i think he also might have been dealing with some compulsive hoarding issues. the guy wouldnt just buy 1 or 2 spares from the lhs. he would buy the whole rack. had probably 40 cars all rtr or NIB and another 15-20 parts cars along with literal mountains of spares. due to some health issues he decided recently to sell all his stuff. the guys who bought it are friends of mine. this car in particular came about because Will was absolutely fascinated with the revo's cantilever suspension (arent we all to some degree though) so he went and built this! i dont know if he ever raced it or where, if he did for that matter.

what I think Reggie was referring to is a sprintcar made by Dynotech that uses a similar setup. I can't find a picture of the car at this point for references but I have seen one recently myself (maybe on ebay) with a setup that looks very similar to this one. Will's version looks good too. I wouldn't mess with anything geometry until tryin to run the thing first. Might be great or might be something that just looks cool. Either way drop a line to let us know how it does

never seen it run let alone ran it myself so i have no clue.

Will believed in the idea that "loose is fast!" so im sure the thing is pretty undrivable

Sweet! I dig any mid motor 2WD custom jobbies. This one looks pretty slick. I'm sure we'd all love to see video of it in action some day. :D

oh we will dont you worry. its hanging on my wall behind me and i keep turning around to sneak a peak at it. like im looking at something i know i shouldnt.

im going to hold off setting it up for the local track though. were moving to a new location (some entities in the park didnt like us being there even though the track has been there probably 15 years now and now were getting f'd) so ill hold off till we get situated before i break out the race tires and springs/oil.

so a bit of an update, i got a slipper rigged up (im not good enough to run an slipper eliminator frankly) just need to get a spur, only ones i could find in my collection are some super small tooth count 32p gt spurs and a 90t rrp spur that is too big.

i seriously think this car will be loose as goose poop so im not keen on running it yet.

i did find some other pictures of it though from when i first found it.

What a find! That would be a land-missile on hard packed dirt oval. Sorry to drool all over your thread.
