Okay so it was a pink stock motor, no label and it had 36 degrees of timing i was told. One of a friend's neighbor had a whole case of them and they were insanely fast. Anyone have any ideas? Id love to get my hand on some. At the time, the kid had said he got them 2nd hand from a "racer". the time was like late 90s. The buggy fyi was a xx.

Anyway, anyone use 36 degree stock motors and can anyone suggest a good one? thanks!

I ran a couple 36 degree motors (all 36 motors were pink cans to my knowledge) many moons ago. Most of the manufacturers had one at the time and most of them were the same. Every once in a while you'd get a freak of nature motor that just hauled the mail. I had a Peak Performance Beast (24 degree green can) that was just amazing but never found another as strong as the first.

I have 2 pink stock motors, both with labels. Sorry no pics. One is a motorman short stuff, the other is from Fantom, competition stock. Both have pink ends as well but the Fantom also has a metal purple hood or shroud over it as well. Some sort of heatsink? Does that help at all?

I have a pink Big Jim that I used to race, and it was one of the fastest stock motors I ever had. There was also the S&K Pink Panther that was popular at our local carpet oval.

could be a trinity monster horsepower (jr. i thnk). if the guy had a case of them with no labels, they were probably used as handout motors.

we used to run an "outlaw" stock class, pink or purple can motors (cant remember the name of the purple one, but it was also 36 degree). Drop about 2 teeth below a "standard" stock motor and pray you dont overheat.

I think I recall running a Trinity Joel Johnson motor that was 36 degrees. But that was many many years ago (early to mid 90's), so I could be completely wrong.
