I see alot of painted bodies uncut that go for high bucks .You only get one try cut them out. How do you guys do it ?

A pair of sharp scissors around the bottom. A pair of curved scissors for the front and rear and a Dremel with a sanding drum for the tight spots. If the cut out lines are hard to see I usually test fit the body 5-10 times during the process to make sure I am only removing the material that absolutely needs to be removed for proper fit.

That's how I've been doing it for years now (eesh, probably 20+).

Xacto knife with a fresh blade. Score along the line, then snap it off.

Where the knife does not work, I use lexan scissors.

Yep...all of the above. Just go slowly. You can always remove more material but it's difficult to put it back!

Very good point. I was trimming a Sand Scorcher body and removed too much from the front nose cone .

As mentioned before just keep mounting it and taking small amounts off.

Another option would be to purchase the same body unpainted. Cut out the unpainted version and fit it/mount it and get it just the way you like it, then slide it over the painted body and use it as a template for trimming and mounting hole placement. You'll still use all the techniques described above, but you'll be less likely to fubar an expensive body/paint job.

I did a search and that's how I ended up in this old thread, but I couldn't find exactly what I was looking for.

Is there a template, instructions or detailed pictures floating around here as to where to cut an RC10 Classic body?
