Re: Who have you met in person?
As Al (a01butal) mentioned I had the great pleasure of meeting him a while back. He helped me out big time on a RC12 build I had going. Great Guy!
I also met up with Qball a couple yrs ago after an ebay purchase I made from him. We met at a parking lot to do the transaction and got to talking about our hobby. It turned out he had a few other parts I was looking for so he invited me to his house to give me those and to show me his collection. Another great guy!
I hope to meet up with many more of you guys. Even you Reg!

Re: Who have you met in person?
Well as you all know, I know Anthony (Vintage AE) What a great friend you are! I know and have raced with Stu of Tamiya Club fame, great guy (stulec52), but that's it for now! I'm hoping to meet Dave (Diamond Dave) one day as he is in Calgary! And (aip47-2008) as he's in Spokane and I go there every once in a while! There are some other Alberta members that I hope to meet some day!
Should have met Brian (RC10resto) but missed that! I wish I could meet so many of you guys, but that may not be mutual!

Re: Who have you met in person?
I know I have met Rod (Slotcarrod) many many times over the years.
He deals with so many people on a daily basis that he might recognize me, as I frequent the shop he works at.
Thats it for people in person, I do see alot of guys I chat with from Clodtalk on here. Always makes it a bit easier on a new site for the new guy.

I've met JPAE07, hope to meet/race with MadWeazl one day soon gotta get them Losi's out there and show peeps whats up.
RC10resto, RichieRich and the other SoCal guys, we should really make a "right" coast race day for us all. We got lots of tracks out here, some of them are even vintage friendly.
One day I would love to make the VoNats, meet all you guys and throw down some vintage metal to race.

Re: Who have you met in person?
Reggie.... is that your own track?? (actually I think you've posted pics of it in a previous thread) I would so love to have the room to build a track like that, but alas, land is so expensive & at a premium over here
I've met Kaszal, CobraKen & at some point raced against Jamin
There's a few fellow vintage freaks that i've met that are on the Tamiyaclub website & made aquaintences on Oople that i've later met at race meetings. I certainly think these forums can open up doors for friendships with people which you may not have otherwise talked to at race events.
Would love to attend a Vonats one day & meet some of you guys Stateside, but I fear getting that past 'the other half' could prove troublesome

Re: Who have you met in person?
Yeah, I'm putting a bunch of work ( and money ) into it this winter- Anthony coming over helped motivate me I will put up some photos in a couple of weeks as we are really changing it up. Also, I think I am going to get a Mid-East outdoor gathering here at some point in 2012- an outdoor natural terrain version of the CT raceDerbyDan wrote:Reggie.... is that your own track??

27T motor on lipo is just as good (if not better) than 17.5 no timing My gold pan is a testament to that.
