I work for Meijer's in their produce/meat/dairy warehouse and every i mean every holiday we get hit hard (2 days in and 7 hrs of ot) and after 7 years it's starting to get old. I should be great full about having a job in Michigan being that this state is in the Shi&%(#. but It really sucks seeing 10 new guys being trained a week before Christmas.(granted it happens on a weekly basis) Knowing full well it was going to get busy well before.... lol the kicker is out of every 10 ppl they hire they hope 2 stay for 6 months I can honestly say I have been there for 7 years and I'm number 30 out of 195 based on seniority. Just makes me think these major corporations don't care..... :End Rant:

While I'll admit it's not immediately evident, I think it's the fact that his company knows they're going to be busy yet they wait 'til the last second to hire extra help. Look on the bright side though. At least you're not salary like me and work all that overtime for free. Every job sucks if you're the one doing it. Just make the best of it. Go with the flow man. Easy for me to say though, I'm off 'til the 3rd. Hang in there!
