..its for a 3D milling machine. Small and expensive I know, but maybe in the near future it might be a lot easier to make parts. Kinda cool!

I've been looking at getting a CNC Router for a while now, perhaps building my own but I think the learning curve is very steep and will take a bit too much of my time. But there are soooo many parts I would like to build!

The Roland looks amazing, its 3D as well which is cool and I would love to have something like this. I would like to know the max size for parts and also if it could cut hard plastics (nylon 6 .66) and metal?

EDIT. I doubt it can do metal or hard plastics. This guy here has done some cool stuff with it though:

That is very cool, If it could mill nylon and Tb i would be all over it. I wonder how long it will take for people to beef it up slap a brushless system in it lol.

I own a 3 axis cnc router that will easily do nylon and plastics. My issue has been that I haven't had a place for it. My wife and I are closing on a house in 2 weeks and I'll have plenty of room. Hopefully I'll have it up and running sometime this summer. I'll be able to make anything RC related and already have several things planned. That's why I bought it. Mine can make parts as large 24" x 24" x 12" so size shouldn't be a problem.
