Tamiya Bruiser

I'm new to Tamiya and was wondering. I purchased a Bruiser off CraigsList. I'm In the process of tearing it down slowly and cleaning. I was messing with the front suspension with the servo rod on the linkage attached and it seems the front wheels almost click into position when I pull the long servo rod back and fourth. Is that normal? Also it is VERY hard to turn the hubs left and right like somethings binding, but I can't see any interference with the steering link rod. Is the stiffness in the left to right motion of the front steering normal for a Bruiser?...or Houston we have a problem...??

I'd take it all apart. There could be several things causing what you describe. The front hubs have pins that give it a crude one way. These get dry and need to be rebuilt anyway. At worse your axle is broken

Thanks for the input and I did take the ends off the front differential and a piece of the casting on one side is cracked and fell into my hand. I will be looking for a replacement front diff assy and I will also open and check the "guts" for damage. Thanks again and I am assuming that assembly should move/turn back and fourth with no binding and should be smooth if there are no issues.
