Rear axle size

I recently bought a vintage gold pan with 6 gear transmission. I was wondering if someone could refresh my memory and tell me what the size of the axles are on these. Does anyone know if the modern wheels will fit with the truck conversion adapters on these axles?

They are 1/4" axles.
What i did to run modern wheels was:
Thunder Tiger Part PD8982 rear wheels
I used a #4 countersink on them as the 1/4" axles are tapered.
Put a small piece of heat shrink on the axle.
Install your wheel and you are ready to go.
This is for the buggy rear wheels, the truck conversion i am not sure about.
