my 2 daughters getting their first rc cars!

So I just gave my oldest daughter her very first rc car as an early b-day present (11 next month). I gave her my Tamiya TL01 since they are tough and I have spare parts. My Corally took its spot on the shelf.
Now I have been informed that before I get another rc for myself (By my wife) I. Need to get my youngest daughter one also because she got excited and started pulling my rc's off the table and bringing them in the living room saying "I want this one!"
There was a theme going on too. First she brings in my Big Bear followed by my 1st gen black foot then my rustler and lastly my stampede. So I have a feeling she does not want a small car. That was confirmed when she had the stampede and said "I like it because its BIG!!!"
So I have a question what should I get for a soon to be 5 year old? I was thinking a stampede for durability and easy repair.
I figure I could use one of my old novak esc with the little screw to adjust it and turn down the speed. Because lord help anything that would get in her way if I didn't slow the truck down.

That's a fun truck.

At least they have an interest. If it's not butterflies and unicorns my 6 yr old girl wants nothing to do with it.

All you have to do is put it in training mode untill she gets better.

Mine both started with Grasshoper/Hornet hybrids with Lunchbox wheels & tires. Shortly after they each got 2wd Slashes. You can't beat the Slash or the Stampede for durability. My neice was three when she first drove one and I don't think she gave up the transmitter for over 10 minutes straight. That was the toughest 10 minutes I have EVER seen an RC go through... and I saw a lot of the guys on here drive at the first VONats too!

Lmao. My youngest wants hers to be rainbow painted. Talking about a complex not mention exspensive paint job. I'm talking the full gambit red blue green yellow pink orange purple and black
There is a training mode? I never knew that. Wow where have I been. Is that on older novaks or on newer esc's if it is on newer ones that would explaine why I don't know

Traxxas has a 50% 'training' mode on their ESCs now. They've had it for a few years anyway. It's as simple as pushing a button on the ESC for 3 modes- 100% with reverse, 50% with reverse & race mode (no reverse).

If you get an RTR the Traxxas esc has a training mode. As for the rainbow scheme, Halgar has a bumper sticker on his car that you can use for reference.(not that there's anything wrong with that!

Sweet I wll be getting her a traxxas esc. Currently I only have 3 novaks 2 tekens one race and one with reverse and a dynamite with reverse (old as dirt and sux no brake just slams into reverse)
Thanks for the suggestions and info.
Now if I could get my wife into it. I offered to let her dive the widow buggy but she said no. Not sure if it is because she has no interest or if she was scared she would wreck it since it has become my favorite and I baby it when I take it out.

When my daughter was 7, she got a Stampede. At age 10, she had a Matt Francis 2 and was racing

She's 17 now, and race 1/8 buggy

Then again, her and her sister have been raised by Dad since 5 & 7

We'll I picked up a XL5 speed control today out of a trade. I gave the guy my Explorer Sport esc for it. Kinda sad had that esc since the late 90's but getting my little girl rolling safely is worth it.
Too bad he didn't have another one though would have gotten one for my rustler too.
