do you ever feel like cutting up perfectly good parts just for the hell of it? i do, and today was one of those days.
so i'm looking through my little part drawers and stumbled upon my used losi a-1017 lxt/nxt steering knuckle setup. they've been in there for quite a few years after ditching them in favor of something else on a build i was doing. so anyways, here's what i'm talking about....
take notice that the castor block is the same as the ones used for the rpm steering enhancement kits for the rc10 buggy and truck.
but, the arm is quite diffferent than the buggy (similar to the rpm truck knuckle iirc).
so, i marked the new location, and started drilling, cutting, and grinding.
and ended up with the poor man's steering enhancement kit.

I remember it, I didn't think it looked that yellow as I recalled- I'm telling you, I can fix that and get it back-

Do the AE inline axles fit the Losi hubs? Or were the RPM axles something different?

the losi axles are slightly larger, so ae axles wiggle a little bit in the losi knuckles. the rpm knuckles use the ae aluminum axles.

A little scotch tape can help with the fit in the steering arm. I did that on the WTF buggy. Associated axles in losi SCT steering arms.

that's a cool little discovery jason, well done man. wonder if a peroxide gel formula would work on the rpm ultra without pulling it apart

peroxide and rpm don't mix at all...unless you like the color green and some other funkiness
