Older Losi with alloy tranny

I have a Losi with a black painted alloy tranny - the drive shafts are gray plastic.
Is that normal or should i worry ?

Pictures would go along way, i havent personally seen one but dosen't mean it dosen't exist

I guess You´re right.
Closer inspection revealed plastic - the "alloy" was chrome paint flakes.
By looking at other members cars, it seems to be a JR 2.
