RC10L Chassis...

I think I'm going to fab me a 10L chassis, I'm not going to include the normal ten battery slots, I'm thinking I'm going to try a brush-less version so I'll have to figure out how to accommodate the newer battery type.
Any suggestions...

The following solutions all work fine:
- Battery tape.
- normal battery slots + lipo that fits into them.
- Lipo tray mounted on top of the chassis.
- lipo brace that keeps lipo in place with metal posts.
- battery cups.

Yea, your right, I think I'm going to modify the saddle type lipo cradle out of a B44 and with its aluminum posts and straps to hold down the lipo's...

This is where I'm at with my chassis...

I left off the mounting for the Lipo cradle, I got the cradle out of a B44, but I think I'll design my own.

rooster,
Here's a car from europe that a guy built, it's a 235mm car using all R5 parts, it's a solid chassis set up for lipo.
If you decide to go through with it, I'd be VERY interested in a chassis plate. I'd also be willing to help out with the three shock top plate, I can make you a template of my PRC piece and send it to you?
-Ford.

Yes, I saw you posting on the RC10L2.5 and that's what I going to do next, I want to convert my RC10L2's to the triple shock setup by fab'n up a new top plate and a replace the aluminum lower plate with a graphite one. I was just going to design something up myself, but if you can send me a ruff sketch and I'll definitely use it as reference.
As far as RC10R5, I already use the 235mm conversion kit from "Full Option" (
http://www.fulloption.co.uk/index.html), with the hub extenders, but I want to design a wide rear pod for the RC10R5, maybe that will be my next project.

Rooster,
Isn't the full option front plate for the R5 a little on the narrow side? same with the extenders? I heard that setup came in at like 220mm?
