Mtroniks question

I recently "found" an MTroniks Genesis Sport brushless system in a tool box during one of my Craigslist "saves"...I plug it in, it lights up, but I cannot find a manual anywhere (even the mtroniks site & I have e mailed them asking for one) to tell me how to set it up. It was odd too, the save had a manual and original box for almost everything in there, BUT this :(

anyone have one they could scan to me, or walk me through the set up to see if this thing even works? Looks like a neat little set up, for a small or light vehicle :)

I use an Mtroniks brushless system in my V12, not the same system as you have, but the setup procedure might be similar. Did it come with the small basic looking setup card?

Here's the setup instructions for mine, give them a try :)

1) Switch your transmitter on and hold the
throttle in the full reverse/brake position.
2 Switch on esc using the on/off switch.
NOTE: When you switch on, the red and green LEDs will come
on, go out and the controller will beep, the green LED will come
on on its own.
3) Whilst the green LED is on, push the throttle
to the full forwards position, hold there until the
green LED goes out and the red LED comes on.
4) Whilst the red LED is on, return to neutral.
5) Calibration to the transmitter is complete and
your speed control is ready to use with last
used settings

When the red and green LEDs come on, this denotes that you are
in the neutral position.
Both LEDs will go out when you move in either direction, then the
green LED will come on at full speed in either direction.

If you want to repeat the set up procedure you must switch the
unit off for 10 seconds before trying again.

Paul.

tried that a few times, no worky :(

i kept digging on the mtroniks site, found a genesis "ride" speedo, the picture looks identical, so i brought up the instructions, which seems to have worked :)

that set up chart is quite cryptic though, i will dig into that later, right now i just want to try it in the jrx2 and see if it moves the car along.

thank you for the help, very appreciated.

tested it in the JRX2, geared @ 20/82...its a rocket. soft on the bottom end (380 sized motor, to be expected), minor cogging but very manageable and driveable. will test it on a track next.
