First, what is the diameter of the layshaft?
Second, on the inner slipper hub, if you lay the slipper hub on your workbench with the part that holds the pin pointing up, how high is that most narrow part of the slipper hub?
Third, what length of the layshaft is needed to mount the slipper?

I can only tell you that the shaft where the rear plate locates on the pin drive is 3/16" diameter. It necks down through the slipper area. Don't have one handy to get the other measurements.
If the thunder tiger cars use a similar slipper, I have read that it's transmissions use metric bearings, that top shaft may be 4mm, but may also be 5mm. you would have to check the manual and bearing kit to know for sure.

Don't worry, the slipper will be protected from the Kyosho by mounting it on another manufacturer's layshaft

- right now HPI, unless I find a better fitting one.
