Looks like another new reality show about cranking out high prized objects as fast as possible.

From USAToday...
And now the former Monster Garage reality show star is back on Discovery with a new special, Jesse James: Outlaw Garage, airing tonight at 10 p.m. ET/PT. In it, he challenges his crew with rebuilding a 1932 Ford roadster in 30 days, a job that would normally take a year. He hopes that it will become a 20-episode series for Discovery.

Even with the poor choices he has made and tabloid stuff I still can't help but like the guy. I really enjoyed the Monster Garage special a few years back when he went to iraq and tried to build the Humvee that would do wheelies.

He hated the stupid stuff the producers would throw into the show. Like running a dude dressed in a bunny outfit through the shop. I enjoyed watching them shoot roman candles at him and the guy got really pissed off cause one of the fireballs got into his suit.

I enjoyed Monster Garage until they had more fighting and drama than actual building. Might have to check out Outlaw Garage, provided they focus on the actual building!

That seems to be how "Reality Television" works from what I've experienced. The shows always transcend into fighting and drama, and more emphasis is placed on that than the original intent of the show. The biggest example of this is American Chopper. Now the question is, is it staged or is it real? One thing is for sure that its definitely done or encouraged for ratings.

Adam I was actually there for that episode. Jesse built the HMMWV in the 181st Trans battalion HQ. We wer assigned under that battalion and was able to watch them work. Too bad they were not able to finish the thing. They planned on driving the HMMWV down the roads on Balad AB at the end of the show. There were a couple thousand military guys lined up on the streets. We were unfortunately told the transmission was broke and wouldn't get to see it finished.

That's cool Jake, what happened to the dude that forgot to fill the trans fluid and wrecked the build? Did the other soldiers run him out of there?

Here is the real bad part, that dude was in my unit. He was a maintenance guy for the trucks we were running.

What a screw up.

I went to Westcoast Choppers a few years ago and got to meet him. he just likes to be left alone, he did a show were he explained it. people wouldnt let him go to work, they would block the driveway and be all over him from the curb to the door. they were looking in the windows of the shop bathroom, he said he couldnt even piss in peace. they werent giveing him any space and hes a hothead anyway so he didnt handle to well. he was cool to me. he took photos and aughaphed his book for me. I have been looking for the pic for a while. some one swiped the original. I have it on Disc somewere.

I'm sorry but I find that really hard to believe. People who "just like to be left alone" don't spend their lives in the spotlight continually trying to maintain their celebrity status.
